Experimental Spiderman.

I couldnt think of what to do for a video today. Then I thought about making something with a little spiderman doll i got from one of those claw machines ages ago. It took me a while to find the right music to go with this video. In the end i asked a few friends and my friend Kai told me to try this song and it worked great. It completely changed the feel of the video too. So check it out and tell me what you think.
I have only 15 minutes left to post this or i've ruined the project. ha.

Hey Ian,
That was pretty cool - made me laugh. I like to make videos with toys too. Check them out here and here.Just a note, I don't think your project will be ruined if you miss a deadline. Here's what I wrote about it on my site:
So what happens if I fail to do something? Well, probably nothing. Of course that's what I'm afraid of. The whole reason for doing this is to have something happen. But I'm not getting kicked of the island or anything if that's what you're asking. I'll take the results that I get and keep going. They don't stop a baseball game the first time a pitcher gives up a run, right?

So anyway, I've not written everyday so far. My longest stretch is 22 days. Currently, I've missed most of the last two weeks. Of course I've been trying to help my daughter get her videos out to her legions of fans during this time.

But don't use that as an excuse to slack off!

Ian, for not knowing what you were going to shoot (heck - even if you storyboarded every shot!) this is so cool. I love toys too. You should seriously submit this as a short film to some local film festivals and things.

Seeing this has put me over the top -- I'm totally going to curate a videoblog film festival here in Minneapolis with my favorite vlog entries. Can I include yours?

(Verdi... your shorts were frigging awesome!)

Cool movie. Mind if I link to you at or maybe in another section of my site? These movies are fun and will definitely come back to see more of your future works. Thanks for sharing.

Im glad you liked the video. I know if i miss a deadline for video nothing will happen. But I would pretty annoyed with myself for doing so. Im gonna keep this up for as long as i can. If i miss a day I'll carry on still. Im not doing this for a big cash prize at the end. Im doing it for the fun of it.

Nope. I didnt plan it at all. Origianlly it was gonna be 'a day in the life of a stuffed spiderman'. But that changed whilst filming. I dont know of any short film festivals around here. You can use my videos.

I dont mind. Link away.

That was probably cause i wasnt in it. haha.

spiderman doesnt kill. He saves lives...and makes terrible cups of tea.

Thanks to everyone who commented. It means alot.

Very funny. I can't believe it's taken me 8 months into the year to find out about this blog. Got tuned to it by a friend and I'll probably be looking everyday to see what else you are up to.
